10 Sep 2018 --- As the population grows older, more elderly people are suffering from malnutrition. Research has found that people who are unmarried, separated or divorced are most often affected, while men and women who are either married or widowed tend to take better care of themselves. This is the conclusion reached in a meta-analysis conducted by Prof. Dr. Dorothee Volkert and her team at the Institute for Biomedicine of Ageing (IBA) at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU).
