01 Apr 2019 --- Resistant Starch 4 (RS4) is the latest ingredient to be added to the list of approved fibers from The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) under the new Nutrition Facts labeling regulations, which are set to begin in January 2020. As the initial list was released last year, MGP Ingredients submitted a citizen’s request for RS4 to be included in the definition and, this request has now been fulfilled as the agency has confirmed that RS4 sources will be added to the definition of dietary fiber.
