FrieslandCampina Withdraws GOS Product from Vietnamese Market
Given a level of concern still existing amongst some consumers, the company has taken the responsible step to withdraw Dutch Lady UHT milk with Vivinal GOS from the market.
2 Nov 2009 --- To take away any potential worry amongst our consumers regarding a possible link between allergic reactions and the consumption of Dutch Lady UHT milk with Vivinal GOS, FrieslandCampina Vietnam has decided to withdraw Dutch Lady UHT milk with Vivinal GOS in 110 and 180 ml packaging from the market. The decision is taken in close cooperation with the Ministry of Public Health.
Extensive research and testing confirmed that there is no evidence for linkage between allergic reactions and the consumption of Dutch Lady UHT milk with Vivinal GOS. However, given a level of concern still existing amongst some consumers, the company has taken the responsible step to withdraw Dutch Lady UHT milk with Vivinal GOS from the market.

The company said that they are cooperating with the Ministry of Public Health to do a research program on food allergy in general and milk allergy in particular.
